Part 2-Rose O'Neill was a true "Renaissance Woman"- she was an illustrator, a sculptor, a designer, an artist, a novelist, a poet, philanthropist AND business woman. She was also Suffragette and a women’s rights leader working with Eleanor Roosevelt and she was a totally original individualist.

She was also the highest-paid woman illustrator of the early 20th century, who ascended to the top in a thoroughly male-dominated field, at the time. And considered the first American woman cartoonist, Most importantly, She was the 1st person ever to build a merchandising empire from her work, with her invention of the Kewpie Doll.
